One of the more unusual Oyster watches made in the 1930’s and 1940’s. This manual wind Rolex Oyster watch was cased in the same basic case as the pioneering Bubbleback automatic watches.
The all steel case is in very good condition and has the rare flat screw on case back as opposed to the automatic or perpetual models that used a domes or high sided caseback.
The most prominent feature of the watch is the near mint condition of the all-original Rolex Royalite dial with luminous Arabic markers and a red 24 hour chapter. The sweep second hand is also the original red model. The dial is truly a spectacular find.
The 15 jewel Rolex signed dial was just serviced and is in excellent condition.
Overall this is an amazing find for the Rolex collector looking for the unusual and rare. (p)
The Steel Oyster case measures 32 mm by 38 mm and is supplied on the buyers choice of black or brown leather straps
