Eterna solid gold automatic chronometer with textured dial

A vintage solid gold automatic Eterna Eterna-matic Chronometer wristwatch with an oversized snap-back case. The watch dates to circa 1950 based on the movement used.
Eterna has made a name over the years for providing high quality wristwatches that were made with an eye for style and technical merit.
The Eternamatic Automatic movement was a landmark watch for Eterna and this particular watch is fitted with a 13 ligne calibre 1249 movement which was just serviced and is keeping excellent time. The solid 18 karat gold case has not been detailed as it was found in very good condition and the flared turtle gold lugs combined with the wide flat bezel add a tremendous amount of wrist presence. please note the original Eterna crown and fully hallmarked case.
The all original textured hobnail dial is signed Eternamatic and Chronometer. Please note the delicate raised Eterna gold logo on the dial.
The watch measures 35.5mm wide by 43mm long and at 10.5mm thick is a very elegant profile on the wrist. The watch is supplied on your choice of black or brown calf leather straps.
