As original an example as you are going to see of a vintage Rolex James Bond no-crown guard Submariner, model 6536/1.
This wonderful watch dates to 1959 based on both the serial number in 399,000 range as well by the date code stamped on the inside of the case.
The dial is all original and so are the hands including the original lollipop seconds hand, with all matching radium luminous. This is the now dial is an excellent example of a gilt dial with 2-tone text. The black glossy dial is very difficult to photograph due to its almost liquid appearance.
Also note the original bezel and insert still fitted to the watch. The original low dome Rolex crystal is still installed on the watch.
The Rolex perpetual calibre 1030 automatic movement was just serviced by my Rolex trained watchmaker and is keeping excellent time.
A Rolex riveted Oyster, model 7206 bracelet is attached to the watch and carries a date code of 1967, which indicates it was likely a later replacement.
This is a fabulous example of this timeless and collector grade investment.
