This vintage Longines wrist watch uses one of the nicest manual movements from the period of the 1940’s and 50’s.
The solid 14 karat gold case has very dramatic lugs that sweep downward and away from the rectangular case. The case has a very slight ding in one side which, as shown in the photos, can only be seen on the one side and is not visible on the wrist. The watch has been detailed and is in excellent condition.
The restored satin silver dial is highlighted by raised metal Arabic numeral hour markers and stylish leafs hands.
The watch is fitted with the17 jewel Longines manual wind caliber 10.68N movement otherwise known as the 10L, which was just serviced and is keeping great time. The 7 million serial number on the movement roughly dates the watch to 1946.
Overall a lovely and durable vintage watch that has all the styling cues people look for in a vintage piece. STylish enough to wear with a Tuxedo yet tough enough to wear everyday.
This watch measures 25 mm wide by 38 mm long.
