This vintage Longines rectangular watch features a solid white gold case and 12 brilliant diamonds on the dial.
The watch has may earmarks of the classic Art Deco models produced during the 1920’s and 1930’s, however the watch dates to the 1970’s.
The solid 14 karat white gold case is signed Star Watch Company and heavier than is appears due to the use of a built-in cradle to hold the movement in place.
The dial is set with a single brilliant cut diamond at each of the hour markers. Also note the facetted hands used on the watch, this is a welcome design element that adds to the visual appeal of the watch.
The Longines Calibre 528 movement was just serviced by my watchmaker and is keeping excellent time.
The watch measures 23 mm wide by 28 mm long and is supplied on a black patterned leather strap.
