This vintage Rolex Submariner dates to 1966 by the serial number in the 2.0 million serial number range and comes with the original inner box, warranty paper, Submariner leaflet and hang tag with the serial number on it, all with the original bill of sale from the Canadian dealer that sold the watch in 1971. The 5513 was first produced in 1963 and was one the most popular watches made by Rolex. Of late collectors have driven the prices of these durable tool watches to heights not seen before.. The watch is fitted with the original matte dial with Tritium markers. Please be aware this is the original tritium dial and hands combination and they have taken on a matching light cream colour. This is also the earlier and more desirable metres first configuration.
The case condition is outstanding. The bezel dot also appears to be the original tritium pearl.
The watch is fitted with the Rolex non-hacking automatic calibre 1520.
This movement was just serviced by my Rolex trained watchmaker and is keeping excellent time. The case back is signed with the original 5513 reference and dated 1967 which was probably when the watch was shipped from the factory.
This Submariner comes with the original and correct riveted Oyster 7206 bracelet without divers extension. There is a faint engraving of a Masonic logo on the clasp of the watch .
The watch measures 40 mm wide by 48 mm long.
